Amar is a Legal Director in the Middle East IPT team with over 12 years post-qualification experience advising on technology and outsourcing in the financial services sector in London and Singapore. With a passion for understanding new and emerging technologies his practice also includes blockchain and digital assets and he was a core member of the DLA Piper team that advised the Dubai Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority (VARA) on the creation of its virtual asset specific regulatory framework.

Amar also has experience in commercial roles, having lead strategy and development of a digital wealth app, as well as front-end web development, having built and launched applications of his own including a browser plug-in giving users more control over their online privacy.
