Oliver Studd is the Executive Director of Local First and Founder of Valhalla Network: a DAO with the mission to build a banking system owned by the people, for the people. Oliver holds a Masters in International Banking. While previously with HSBC, he noticed the big banks were not focused on supporting small businesses, the lifeblood of every economy. Consequently, Oliver has since worked to promote the establishment of small, locally focused community banks to create local economic growth. Through his work building Hampshire Community Bank, Oliver envisaged a whole new global banking system owned by the people. A banking system that exists to serve the community and small businesses - Valhalla Network. One year later, Oliver has won several pitch competitions and successfully raised over '7.7m.
